Screen Prints VS Sublimation

Screen prints are plastisol ink that sits on top of the shirt and can go on any color and fabric blend. They require a heat press and different times and temps depending on formula.
Subs transfers are ink transfers that adhere into polyester fabric and dyes the fabric so there is no feel. Sublimation requires high polyester blend shirts 65% or higher and need to be light in color or substrates prepped for sublimation. There is no white base with subs so they don't show on darker colors unless bleached. Think of it like coloring on construction paper with markers. If the marker would blend so will the ink. These also require a heat press and generally need to be pressed at 385-400 degrees for 60 seconds for fabric items. Other items like mugs and coasters etc time and temp vary depending on who you buy your items from.
